Use Case: Patient-centric Endpoints
Mebomine technology offers an effective alternative to structured patient interviews. We capture patient-reported outcome measures that are key to the development of patient-centric endpoints for clinical trials. In this study, we identified 3 cohorts of patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and fibromyalgia from 8 online health forums, and reported on the challenges faced by patients with these conditions.

Use Case: Routes to Diagnosis
Mebomine technology provides a longitudinal view of patients’ experience. We help discover factors that shape the journey of patients with rare diseases through the healthcare system. This is key to early diagnosis and prevention of physical, mental and financial burden for patients. In this study, we identified a cohort of patients with ANCA-associated vasculitis (AAV) from 8 online health forums, and reported on their atypical symptoms, medical tests, misdiagnoses and the health professionals who diagnosed them.
Use Case: Mental and physical disorders associated with COVID-19
Mebomine continuously monitors emerging health trends and their clinical and societal impact. A case in point, measures to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic have resulted in unprecedented restrictions worldwide. Identifying and quantifying the health impacts of these measures are now a priority to tackle the long-term consequences of COVID-19. We analysed data from 3 online health forums, and reported on the evolution of mental and physical health concerns relating to COVID-19 among online health forum users.
